Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role

The System Administrator is responsible for maintaining the on-going reliability, performance, management, and support of system environments – in particular, the Ministry’s larger SAP Success Factor modules such as Recruitment and LMS and our Health Safety Security and Wellbeing tool, Risk Manager.


Reporting to the Lead Systems Administrator, this role includes making changes to the system to support the application and requires close coordination and communication with the System Administrators of the rest of the Success Factors suite including the Payroll System Administrator. Participating in Success Factors projects is an important part of this role.


The appointment range for this role is $78,540 to $92,400 total remuneration including employer contribution to kiwisaver – negotiable depending on experience

This is not a Foreign Policy/diplomatic role.  This is a ‘Corporate’ role (known here as a Specialist role) based in central Wellington, NZ.  


While it is not usual for specialist staff to be ‘posted’ outside of NZ, from time to time a specialist role overseas becomes available at one of our embassies, high commissions, missions or consulates. The Systems Administrator will have the following skills and experience:


  • Experience in HR processes, procedure and  calculations
  • Troubleshooting system issues
  • Experience in configuring, testing and implementing system changes.
  • Experience with SAP Success Factors is highly desirable
